Firstly, As the Asortie Furniture Family, we wish God’s mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives after two major earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 in Kahramanmaraş, Pazarcık and 7.6 in Elbistan, one of the biggest earthquake disasters in history, and we wish a quick recovery to our injured citizens.
During this time we have rolled up our sleeves in order to begin healing the wounds of our people. We have come together with many of our friends in the furniture sector here at MASKO Furniture city to support our earthquake survivors. Together we have prepared 10,000 blankets to help relieve our fellow citizens during the biting winter as well as pack a truck of children’s clothes and winter shoes, especially children’s clothes.
Again, through AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, Turkish: Afet ve Acil Durum Yönetimi Başkanlığı, also abbreviated as AFAD), we gathered with our friends in the sector and as a collective we have donated 500 thousand TL in cash aid in order to convey it to the earthquake victims.
Especially in the Hatay region, we will also provide tents and electric heater etc. according to the requests for help from Antakya and Iskenderun regions and deliver them to the earthquake regions immediately.
We would also like to state that we will be in constant communication with the authorized units in order to be with our citizens and our nation in line with the needs of the earthquake victims as much as we can during and after this earthquake disaster.
